How to connect IQRush MCP to Claude Desktop
Install via one-line script on Mac or Windows. Takes about 60 seconds.
The IQRush MCP connector gives Claude read access to your AI visibility data. Once connected, ask questions in plain English — Claude retrieves live measurement data in the background, no dashboard required.
Prerequisites
Before starting, make sure you have:
Claude Desktop installed (Mac or Windows)
Python 3.11+ or
uvinstalled (brew install uvon Mac)An IQRush account at app.iqrush.ai with at least one completed measurement run
Run the install script
macOS
Windows
1. Open Terminal.
2. Paste the command below and press Enter.
curl -fsSL https://api.prod.gso.iqrush.ai/api/mcp/install.sh | bash
3. Fully restart Claude Desktop — quit the app (Cmd+Q) and reopen it. The IQRush tools won’t appear until you do this.
4. Open a new chat and ask: “List my IQRush projects.”
5. Click the sign-in link that appears in Claude’s response. Sign in to IQRush once — your credentials are saved.
To also connect Google Analytics 4 during install, add the --with-ga flag: ... | bash -s -- --with-ga. You can also connect GA4 later in Settings → Integrations.
Verify the connection
Ask Claude: “Show me my IQRush projects.”
Claude calls start_session, shows your project list, and runs a summary report once you select a project. If tools appear and Claude can list your projects, the connection is working.
Troubleshooting
Tools aren’t appearing in Claude Confirm Claude Desktop was fully quit and reopened — not just minimised. The tools load on restart, not on resume.
The sign-in link has expired Restart Claude Desktop to generate a new auth code. The link is time-limited.
“Module not found” error Run
pip install iqrush-mcpmanually in your terminal, then restart Claude Desktop.“Already connected” message Your token is still valid — no action needed.
Try asking
“Show me my IQRush projects.”
“What’s our citation share on the latest run, and how does it compare to our top competitor?”
“Has our brand visibility changed significantly between the last two measurement runs?”
“Which sources are driving citations for our competitors but not us?”
